Ephesians 6:13 - katargazomai "katargazomai" means to: 1) make all preparations, 2) be fully armed. It referred to a Roman soldier

fulfilling his   responsibility. The soldier would be expected to: 3) fulfill all his responsibilities, 4) Exhaust all options. When you     have done everything possible and the enemy is still attacking then continue to hold your post and do not give up ground.

Ephesians 6:13-14 - "stand" will refer to "standing in the gospel of peace"

This armor and these actions are in the imperative mood and in the active voice. This means they are temporal actions, practical, part of the Christians personal     character. The Christian either does this or does not, they either have the       armor or they do not, they are either spiritual winners or they are not.

These are not positional verses referring to positional righteousness as in Romans 4:22-5:2. This is temporal righteousness.

This armor refers to the Christian's ethical behavior.
